Coming of the First Night
& The Peddler’s Dream
December 19, 20 and 21, 2022
Our 2022 Winter Peace Camp features dynamic storyteller Will Hornyak re-telling two tales:
Coming of the First Night — this Afro-Brazilian story tells how night came from the sea goddess Yemanjá who sends the gifts of night to her daughter so that she may live peacefully on land.
The Peddler’ s Dream — explores themes of generosity, selfless giving, and the gifts one finds beneath one’s own feet – all with a humorous Irish twist.
Campers will visit six art studios in rotation with their color cohorts of ~14 campers. Projects designed by Grace Art Camp artists and inspired by the stories will include Glass, Visual Arts, Fibre Arts, Illustration & Paper Arts, Animation and Theatre. Come dream and create with us!
Inclement or Dangerous Weather Conditions
We have every anticipation of holding Winter Peace Camp all three days. In the case of severe or dangerous weather conditions, we will prioritize safety and notify families by email in the case of closure or delayed opening.
Registration is now closed.
Since we anticipate that some families will be unable to attend in December, which will make new openings, we encourage you to register on the Waitlist.
